February Half-term top tips!
Rise and Shine early on Day 1
It’s a good idea to give yourself some extra time on day 1 to find your way around. You’ll have extra kit to get ready, ensure everyone’s been fed and watered ready for an active day and you’ll want to beat the queues!Get your ski stuff ready the night before
You can organise your boots, skis, poles, helmet and clothes the night before to make the morning a little less hectic!Lift pass!
Double check your lift pass is in your jacket ready to go. Don’t put it near your phone or wallet.Kids emergency numbers card
Pop a card with parent or guardian contact details in kid’s jackets just incase they go for a wander. Or write your number on their hand.Take snacks
Skiing is a really active sport, plus the cold weather makes you burn even more calories than usual. Take some snacks to keep you going.Slope side restaurants will be uber busy
If you’re dinning on the mountain side consider getting into the restaurants before 12:45 or after 2pm or ensure you’ve made a reservation! Or take a pack lunch!Packing list for the day

Merino wool base layers & Warm mid layer
Sun glasses & goggles

Piste patrol number
Fully charged phone
Money - card & cash

Make sure you put the local piste patrol number in your phone. You can get these at the tourist office or lift pass office.Learn the bottle necks in the lift system
Your instructors should know these but try to learn where the big queues are likely to be, these are usually connecting lifts between ski areas or main bubble lifts out of resort. Sometimes these are unavoidable.Download the Portes du Soleil App
